Kitara Lodge

There has been plenty of action at Kitara Lodge with all the 2.5 year olds now in and being broken in. The 2 girls, Bronte (Budweiser X Double Century) and Bristol (Budweiser x Monoduke) have had a session under saddle in the round yard and even gone for a spin in the indoor with no fuss at all. The 2 boys who are 2 weeks behind int he process due to limit paddock space up by the stables have also begun their breaking in journey. Beau (Budweiser X Fabian 69) and Boston (Budweiser X Beautiful Crown) have both shown very laid back attitudes whilst starting in the round yard. A;l going to plan Jonathan will be on their backs in a few weeks time.

Alfie (Budweiser X Dreamtime of Wondaree) and Cahndy (Budweiser X Fabian 69) has been turned out to enjoy some well earned resting (and growing up) time! They are both enjoying their spell with their brothers and sisters out in the big grassy paddocks offered here at Kitara Lodge.

Due to the SSJC  Mid year champs have been postponed until the 5th August, Veuve (Who was meant to be turned out after this event) ahs had a week of rest and then will then be prepared for the SSJC re-scheduled event and then Veuve will get his wel earnt rest for a few months.

Other news includes the sale of one of my main competition horses. Ari de Gwaihir has been sold to Event riders Chris Heights and Sam Cesnik from Victoria for Sam to ride and compete on the eventing circuit. We wish them well and look forward to some fantatic results from the pair.
